She/her
Cléo Charpantier is a tried and true Californian currently trying out the East Coast for size.
Cléo comes to ADC Consulting with a background in education and legal non-profits.
Previously, Cléo worked at 826 Valencia, a writing-education non-profit in San Francisco dedicated to supporting under-resourced students with their writing skills and to find their voice as authors. As Volunteer Coordinator (and former volunteer and student herself!), Cléo ensured 826’s students were met with supportive and encouraging tutors, whom in turn learned just as much from their students.
Cléo also worked at NGO Source, a project of TechSoup and the Council on Foundations, which
helps U.S. grantmakers streamline and save in their international giving. By watching how NGOSource drastically improves the efficiency of international grantmaking and inspires a significant increase in cross-border philanthropy, Cléo learned a lot about the world of foundations and philanthropy.
She attended Occidental College in sunny Los Angeles, where she studied Philosophy and Economics. Her background in Philosophy has long informed her values and her work ethic.
Cléo is currently an MFA in Creative Writing Candidate at Sarah Lawrence College. Cléo writes short stories and personal essays, and writes at the margin between fact and fiction. You can find some of her recent essays in her Autodidact Newsletter.
In her downtime, Cléo can often be found on a bike on her way to the park, or at the beach, book in hand.
